One Pot Cowboy Trail Stew image

This recipe is used in Branson, MO at the Christmas on the Trail show at Shepherd of the Hills. To me it's kind of a cross between chili and stew. And, although I'm not usually a big fan of chili I love this! (I've guessed on servings.) I'll admit... I don't always wait 4 hours. It's good right away, too!

I made this stew for my family and they all loved it. The beef was tender and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. I will definitely be making this again!

This stew is perfect for a cold winter night. It's hearty and filling, and the beef is fall-apart tender. I love the addition of the cornbread crumbs, which add a nice crunch.

This stew is a great way to use up leftover beef. I used a flank steak that I had cooked the night before, and it was perfect. The stew was hearty and flavorful, and it kept well in the refrigerator for several days.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my stew turned out terrible. The beef was tough and the vegetables were mushy. I'm not sure I'll try this recipe again.

This stew is a good starting point, but it needs some tweaking. I added more vegetables and spices, and it turned out much better.

This stew was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I probably won't make it again.

I found this stew to be bland and unflavorful. I tried adding more salt and pepper, but it didn't help. I won't be making this recipe again.

This stew was easy to make and packed with flavor. I used ground turkey instead of beef and it turned out great. I also added some chopped carrots and celery to the stew for extra vegetables.
