I found the mezcal to be a bit overpowering in this cocktail. I would recommend using a lighter-flavored mezcal or omitting it altogether.

This cocktail is a bit too sweet for my taste. I would recommend using less honey syrup or omitting it altogether.

I'm not a big fan of grapefruit, but this cocktail was surprisingly delicious. The honey syrup mellows out the bitterness of the grapefruit and the mezcal adds a nice smoky flavor.

I've tried many Old Yeller recipes over the years, but this one is by far the best. The grapefruit and honey syrup add a nice sweetness that complements the bitterness of the bourbon perfectly.
