ol' Fashioned Flaky Pie Crust image

Another one pulled from my recipe box vault! My recipe card for this one is so worn. I only use this recipe for my pies. It's my gammies. Its got a wonderful flaky texture that just melts in your mouth. Ingredients may seem a lil different from today's recipes.... but it's been a favorite of my family's for generations.

This pie crust recipe is a great starting point. I like to add a little bit of lemon zest to mine for a citrusy flavor.

This pie crust was a little more time-consuming to make than some others I've tried, but it was worth it. It was definitely the flakiest pie crust I've ever had.
