My family wants this at every holiday meal. When I take it to pot luck dinners, the recipe is always requested.

Steps:
- 1. Place oil in a deep pan and deep fry okra in small batches. Fry until golden brown & crisp. drain on paper towels. Place okra in a large deep bowl after fried.
- 2. Cook bacon until crisp. I like to cut crosswise into 1inch strips before frying. I cook the whole pound at one time. Drain on paper towels and add to okra.
- 3. Chop tomatoes, green onions and green pepper, and add to the bacon & okra. Do not toss until ready to serve. Cover the bowl and refrigerate until serving time.
- 4. Dressing: Combine oil, vinegar & sugar. I mix it in a small Tupperware bowl with a lid. Place lid on bowl and shake to mix. Just before serving, add dressing and toss.
