Steps:
- 1. Cook the raisins in water,just until the raisins get plump. Drain the water and reserve the juice. Take the 2 tsp. of baking soda,1 cup. of raisin juice, mix together.
- 2. Mix sugar,crisco,eggs,(soda mixture), Mix well, on slow speed.Then add flour, oatmeal, walnuts and raisins.And the secret is 2 Tbl. of grape jelly (4 Tbl says my aunt, she claims the more jelly the softer the cookie, so you may add anywhere from 2 TBL to 4TBL. your choice) , mix well. (this helps keep the cookies soft and makes for a great taste). ***Cover and refrigerate, over night.***
- 3. Pre-Heat oven to *350. Drop cookies and bake for 8 min. Until slightly golden brown, (HINT-Slightly Golden Brown) Place on cookie racks to cool, then place in a coffee can, or plastic container with wax paper in between layers.
