Yield 60 Cookies

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup butter or margarine (2 sticks), softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
3 cups quick-cooking oats, uncooked
About 60 milk-chocolate candy kisses

Steps:

  • In large bowl with mixer at low speed, beat first 8 ingredients until well blended, occasionally scraping bowl with rubber spatula. With spoon, stir in quick-cooking oats. Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease large cooking sheet. With hands, shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place as many balls as possible, about 2 inches apart, on cookie sheet. Gently flatten balls slightly. Bake cookies 15 minutes or until browned. Meanwhile remove foil wrappers from candies. Remove cookie sheet from oven; quickly press candy into center of each cookie. With pancake turner, carefully remove cookies to wire racks to cool.

The cookies were a bit dry. I think I should have added more butter.

These cookies are a bit too sweet for my taste. I'll reduce the amount of sugar next time.

I didn't have any raisins, so I used dried cranberries instead. The cookies were still really good.

I'm allergic to nuts, so I substituted the walnuts for chocolate chips. The cookies were still delicious!

I'm not usually a fan of oatmeal cookies, but these were really good. They were soft and chewy, and the chocolate chips added a nice touch.

I've tried many oatmeal cookie recipes, but this one is by far the best. The cookies are soft and chewy, with just the right amount of sweetness. I love that they're also healthy, thanks to the oats and raisins.

These oatmeal cookies were a hit with my family! They were chewy and flavorful, and the addition of the chocolate chips made them extra special. I will definitely be making these again.
