Oatless Apple Crisp image

My husband does not care for oats on his apple crisp. This recipe eliminates the oats, but the brown sugar provides a nice "crispy" topping in it's place. Number Of Ingredients 8

4-6 apples
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 Tbsp cornstarch
1/2 c water
1/2 c butter, softened
3/4 c flour
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c dark brown sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Peel and slice your apples. Place into the bottom of a greased 8 x 8 pan.
  • 2. Measure 1/2 cup of water into your measuring cup. Add cornstarch and cinnamon and mix well.
  • 3. Pour this mixture over your apples.
  • 4. Mix together butter, flour, sugar, and brown sugar.
  • 5. Crumble the brown sugar topping over your apples.
  • 6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 for 45 to 50 minutes.
