Steps:
- Nutmeg Log Cookies Set butter on counter to soften ahead Cream together: 1 C. butter 2 t. vanilla 2 t. rum flavoring Add: ¾ cup sugar - gradually Blend: 1 egg Add 3 cups flour 1 t. nutmeg ¼ t. salt Mix well - then take portions and roll and cut into ½" dia. snakes/logs on sugared board 350 degrees Bake 12-15 min. They will grow in oven. Cookies will still be white when done. Remove from pan immediately. When completely cooled frost tops Frosting: Cream 1/3 c. butter 1 t. vanilla 2 t. rum flavoring Blend 2 C. powder sugar 2 T. cream Sprinkle - lightly with nutmeg on top of frosted cookies
