This recipe came from an old cookbook my Mom often used. I have always loved to bake and cook, and this is a tried and true favorite. It is wonderful for dessert or as a coffe cake.

Steps:
- 1. Sift first 5 ingredients into large bowl. Make well in center of mixture.
- 2. Add remaining ingredients. Mix thoroghly and pour into a greased 9x9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. This cake will be very moist. Serve with whipped topping or whipped cream (optional).
- 3. Note: You can double this recipe and bake it in a 13 x 9 inch pan. You may need to increase the baking time to ensure the middle of the cake is done.
