This recipe came from an old cookbook my Mom often used. I have always loved to bake and cook, and this is a tried and true favorite. It is wonderful for dessert or as a coffe cake.

I followed the recipe exactly, but my cake didn't turn out as well as I expected. It was a bit dry and the apples were tough.
