No Bake Chocolate Cookies image

When I was in Middle School a long time ago, my 2 favorite things at lunch for dessert were their peanut butter cookies and the No Bake Chocolate Cookies. Believe it or not the food in the cafeteria was amazing. My sister and I have made this recipe for years. They are always bring back memories.

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 c sugar
3 Tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 c milk
1 stick margarine
1 tsp vanilla extract
pinch of salt
1/2 c peanut butter, creamy
3 c quick cooking oats

Steps:

  • 1. Combine sugar, cocoa, milk and margarine in a large pot. Bring to a full boil for 1 minute. add peanut butter. Remove, add vanilla, salt and oats. Stir well. Cool slightly. On a cookie sheet lined with wax paper, drop mixture by tablespoons. Place in refrigerator till firm.
