"I adapted this recipe from one given to me by my first best friend, Sandy, in 1966," said Judy Harris of McRae, Georgia. "I often made it for my children and now when they come home for a visit, they still love it. I shared this recipe with a local restaurant owner and he tweaked it for his menu."

This dessert was a disappointment. The cherries were sour and the filling was bland. I won't be making this again.

I'm allergic to cherries, so I made this dessert with blueberries instead. It was just as delicious!

This recipe was a fail for me. The filling was too runny and the crust was too thick. I think I might have misread the measurements.

I had some trouble finding fresh cherries, so I used frozen ones instead. The dessert still turned out great! I also added a layer of chocolate chips for extra flavor.

I'm not a huge fan of cherries, but this dessert changed my mind! The tartness of the cherries balanced perfectly with the sweetness of the filling. The crust was also fantastic - buttery and crumbly. Overall, a great recipe!
