New York Rye Bread for the Bread Machine image

A great sandwich bread. I have had good success with this recipe. I found it on the Internet, but can't remember the site. Enjoy!

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 cup water, plus
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon oil
1 1/2 tablespoons honey
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons caraway seeds
1 cup rye flour
1 3/4 cups bread flour
3 tablespoons wheat gluten
3 tablespoons dry milk
1 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast

Steps:

  • Add to your bread machine according to manufacturers directions.
  • I mix the flours and the gluten and caraway seeds before adding.
