2 cups butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tablespoons vanilla
4 cups all-purpose flour
3 cups oatmeal (measure, then blend to a fine powder in blender or food processor)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
24 ounces chocolate chips
1 (8 ounce) Hershey Bars, grated
3 cups chopped nuts
2/3 cup heath toffee pieces (optional)

Steps:

  • Cream butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla, and mix well.
  • Combine flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder & baking soda. Mix into butter mixture.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Roll into balls & place 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet.
  • Bake 6 minutes at 375 degrees.
  • Dough may be frozen in balls, then thawed & cooked.
