Nana's Chili image

This is my mom's chili recipe. Thick, meaty, and good heat without being overpowering. She used Miller Genuine Draft for the beer; I prefer using an Oatmeal Stout for a richer flavor instead.

I'm not usually a fan of pineapple in savory dishes, but this chili was surprisingly good. The pineapple added a nice sweetness that balanced out the heat of the chili.

I was pleasantly surprised by this recipe. I wasn't sure how the pineapple would taste in a chili, but it was actually really good. The sauce was flavorful and the pineapple added a nice sweetness.
