Nameless Spice Cake image

This recipe came from my grandmother. It has been the traditional "Birthday" cake in my family since I can remember. The recipe was a contest to name a spice cake in a magazine. This is a very easy and flavorfull spice cake. I have frosted it with cream cheese frosting or baked it in a bundt pan and served it with whipped cream.

I'm allergic to nuts. Can I substitute another ingredient for the walnuts?
