My Nana's Butter Tarts image

These are the tarts Nana would make every Christmas, although she would make her own tart shells. I've simplified it and buy the shells already made. These are easy and delicious and so difficult to stop at just one!

These butter tarts were a bit of a disappointment. The crust was dry and crumbly, and the filling was too runny. I followed the recipe exactly, so I'm not sure what went wrong.

These butter tarts were a bit too sweet for my taste, but they were still pretty good. The crust was nice and flaky, and the filling was creamy and smooth. I think I would try using less sugar next time.
