When I was young it was a yearly sight to watch my grandmother grow veggies in her garden and then make this wonderfully fragrant relish. I never appreciated it's goodness until I got older. Number Of Ingredients 10

2 heads of cabbage
15 medium sized green tomatoes
8 large red onions
3 Tbsp salt
12 hot peppers
1 qt apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp cinnamon
1 Tbsp allspice, ground
4 tsp cloves ground
1 3/4 c sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Chop tomatoes, cabbbage,onion and peppers together. Cover with the salt and let stand overnight: drain well Add vinegar, sugar and all other ingredients. Simmer on low heat until tender. Pour into clean, hot canning jars and seal.
