This wonderful old recipe comes from a children's storybook that I came across when I was shelving away books in a school library. The book by Patricia Polacco entitled "My Grandma's Thunder cake is one of a series of kid's books with easy recipes included in the story. One other that comes to mind is "A Cranberry Thanksgiving"...

[email protected]This thundercake was a little too sweet for my taste. I would suggest using less sugar in the frosting. The cake itself was moist and fluffy, but the frosting was a bit too much for me.
