My Favourite Apple Crisp image

This is the yummiest apple crisp I have ever eaten. You can make it with all apples or use half apples and half pears or peaches.

3 medium apples, peeled and sliced
3 medium pears or 3 medium peaches, peeled and sliced
1 cup fresh cranberries or 1 cup frozen cranberries
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup apple juice or 1/4 cup orange juice
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon allspice
1/3 cup butter or 1/3 cup margarine

Steps:

  • Fruit: Combine all of the fruit in a bowl.
  • Mix the sugar, flour, and cinnamon.
  • Toss with the fruit.
  • Place in a 2-quart shallow casserole or an 8" square baking pan.
  • Drizzle with apple or orange juice.
  • Topping: Combine the oats, flour, sugar, cinnamon and allspice.
  • Cut in the butter until the mixture is crumbly.
  • Spoon over the fruit mixture.
  • Bake at 375 degrees F for 40-45 minutes or until the fruit is tender.
  • Serve warm.
