Mustard Barbecue Shaved Ham image

This recipe makes enough ham sandwiches to feed a crowd and is so easy to put together. Have your butcher slice the ham very thin. I like to make this on the stovetop and serve it from my slow cooker. -Joyce Moynihan, Lakeville, Minnesota

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 cup cider vinegar
1 cup yellow mustard
1 cup ketchup
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, cubed
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon pepper
5 pounds shaved deli ham
20 sandwich rolls, split

Steps:

  • In a Dutch oven, combine the first 10 ingredients. Cook and stir over medium heat until butter is melted. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 15 minutes. Add ham; heat through. Serve on rolls.
