To change up the flavor, I sometimes substitute leftover cooked chicken for the turkey and stir 1/2 cup of seedless white grapes into the mixture just before adding the topping.

This is one of my favorite casserole recipes. It's hearty, flavorful, and always a hit with guests. I usually make it with ground turkey, but I've also used chicken or beef. It's also a great way to use up leftover turkey after Thanksgiving.
