"I came up with these when my kids wanted ice-cream and I wanted a better alternative. Sherbet shakes weren't as exciting so we added fruit. The only way my youngest son ate bananas was if we called it monkey food and that's how this got its name." Fay Strait - Waukee, Iowa

These shakes were a big disappointment. They were bland and watery, and they didn't taste anything like bananas or coffee.

I wasn't a fan of these shakes. The flavor was just okay and they were a little too thick for my liking.

These shakes were a little too sweet for my taste, but otherwise they were delicious. I think I'll try them again with less sugar next time.

These were a little too sweet for my taste, but I think I just added too much sugar. Next time I'll try it with less.

A great way to use up ripe bananas. I also added a scoop of vanilla ice cream to mine, and it was heavenly.

So easy to make and so delicious! I used frozen bananas and cold coffee, and it was perfect for a hot summer day.

These Monkey Shakes were a hit at my son's birthday party! The kids loved the chocolatey, banana-y flavor, and the adults appreciated the touch of coffee. I'll definitely be making these again.
