Mom's Waldorf Salad image

This Waldorf has a twist to it. Instead of mayo my Mom used cool whip. It could be a dessert but we have this with our main course at Thanksgiving and its been in our family as long as I can remember. Its one of the most looked forward to dishes of my families.

This salad is a great make-ahead salad. I often make it the night before and let it chill in the refrigerator overnight. The flavors meld together even more and it's even more delicious the next day.
