MOM'S TAMALE PIE image

Number Of Ingredients 16

1 c chopped onion
1 c chopped green pepper
3/4 lb ground beef
2 cans seasoned tomato sauce
12 oz can corn, drained
1 c choped ripe olives
1 clove minced garlic
1 T sugar
1 t salt
2 t chli pdr
dash pepper
1 1/2 c shredded cheese
3/4 c corn meal
1/2 t salt
2 c cold water
1 T butter

Steps:

  • Cook onion and green pepper in a little hot fat. Brown beef. Add rest and simmer 20 minutes. Stir in cheese. Pour in casserole. Mix topping ingredients. Spoon over meat in strips. Bake 375 degrees 40 minutes
