Mom's Pecan Pie image

Another old family recipe. My great grandparents had a pecan ranch down in Texas until the Depression hit, so pecans have been popular in our family for a long time. This recipe is the culmination of a century of pecan pie baking and tasting!

This pie is a bit too sweet for my taste, but it's still very good. I think I'll try reducing the amount of sugar next time.

I'm allergic to pecans, so I made this pie with walnuts instead. It was still very good, but I think I prefer the pecan version.

This pie was a disaster. The filling was runny and the crust was soggy. I followed the recipe exactly, so I'm not sure what went wrong. I won't be making this pie again.

I'm not a huge fan of pecan pie, but this recipe changed my mind. The filling is smooth and creamy, and the pecans add a nice crunch. The crust is also very good, and it's not too thick or too thin. I will definitely be making this pie again.

This pecan pie is the epitome of Southern comfort food. The filling is rich and gooey, with a perfect balance of sweetness and nuttiness. The crust is flaky and buttery, and it holds up perfectly to the filling. I've made this pie several times now,
