Mom's Lazy Day Stew image

This was my Mom's recipe, its soo good and so simple to whip up, *NOTE: I double this recipe to feed my family all but the onion soup mix I only use the one package. My kids love this one, the meat is so moist and tender.

I followed the recipe exactly but my stew turned out bland. I think I might have used the wrong type of beef. I'll try it again with a different cut of meat.

This stew was just okay. The beef was a little tough and the vegetables were overcooked. I also didn't care for the flavor of the cornbread dumplings.

I've made this stew several times and it's always a hit. The beef is always tender and the vegetables are cooked perfectly. I love the addition of the cornbread dumplings. They add a nice touch of sweetness and texture.
