Steps:
- Cook potatoes in a pot of boiling water until a fork can easily go through the potato. Drain the water in a colander and let potatoes cool.
- Cook bacon in a large skillet. Keep bacon grease in skillet and remove bacon slices and place on the paper towels on a plate.
- Add chopped onion to the bacon grease and cook until slightly browned.
- Add vinegar, water, sugar, salt and pepper to the cooked onions in the fry pan.
- Bring to a boil and crumble bacon into mixture.
- Dice potatoes and place in large bowl and pour bacon& onion mixture over potatoes and mix well.
