A favorite recipe for my brother-in-law who is from St. Augustine, Fl. Datil peppers can be purchased online or may be substituted with Jalapeno peppers. 51 oz can of clams can be purchased at most wholesale clubs (ex: Sams, Costco)

This chowder was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either. I probably wouldn't make it again.

I was disappointed with this recipe. The chowder was bland and lacked flavor. I also found that the clams were overcooked.
