I made this for my kids when they were young and we could not afford to go out for ice cream shakes. I found I could get all the ingredients for what it would cost to buy 6 milkshakes.

Time 5m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

3 scoops ice cream
3 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons instant malted milk powder
1 tablespoon instant pudding mix

Steps:

  • Put ice cream and milk into blender.
  • Blend on highest speed for a few seconds.
  • Add vanilla, malted milk powder, and pudding mix.
  • Blend again.
  • You may also add fruit if you like.
  • The pudding mix is what makes the shake thick so add as much as you need to make it as thick as you prefer, or not as much if you like less thick shakes.

  • Make it as you like it and ENJOY!

This milkshake is a bit too thick for my taste, but it still tastes good. I think I'll try using less ice cream next time.

This milkshake is a great way to use up leftover fruit. I had some strawberries and bananas that were about to go bad, so I threw them in a blender with some milk and ice cream and it turned out great.
