Microwave Pecan Pralines image

Although my Texas-born husband's pronunciation of these wonderful candies grates on my Louisiana-born nerves, we both agree these are GREAT! Number Of Ingredients 6

1 1/2 c brown sugaqr
2/3 c heavy cream
1/8 tsp salt
2 Tbsp margarine
1 1/2 c pecan halves
1 tsp vanilla extract

Steps:

  • 1. In a large, microwave safe bowl, combine sugar, cream, salt, margarine, and pecans.
  • 2. Microwave 4 minutes. Stir. Microwave 4 more minutes. Let rest for 1 minute. Stir in vanilla and continue to stir 3 minutes more. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto buttered waxed paper. (If mixture is runny, allow to cool 30 seconds more and try again)
