Steps:
- Mix sugar and butter. Add egg and flavorings; mix thoroughly. Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting. Stir dry ingredients together and blend in. Refrigerate 2-3 hr. Heat oven to 375 degrees (quick mod.). Divide dough in half and roll 3/16" thick on lightly floured pastry cloth. Cut with cooky cutter; sprinkle with sugar. Placed on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 7 - 8 min., or until delicately golden. Makes 5 doz. 2 - 2 1/2" cookies.
