Mark Bittman's Tuna Salad Without Mayo image

I love Mark Bittman's recipes because they make me look at food in a different way. Who would have thought you could have a light refreshing tuna salad just by leaving out the mayo and seasoning with a few herbs. Add vegetables of your choice to make the sandwich a little more substantial.

This was a great recipe! The tuna salad was delicious and easy to make. I used canned tuna, but I think it would be even better with fresh tuna. I also added some chopped hard-boiled eggs to the salad, which gave it a nice protein boost.

This tuna salad is a game-changer! I've never been a fan of mayo-based tuna salads, but this one is light, refreshing, and packed with flavor. The Dijon mustard and lemon juice add a nice tang, and the celery, onion, and capers give it a nice crunch.
