MANDARIN ORANGE GREEN SALAD image

Number Of Ingredients 14

Salad:
1/2 head romaine lettuce
1/2 head iceberg lettuce
1 small can drained mandarin oranges
1/2 cup scallions tops & bottoms
1 cup celery (optional)
Dressing:
1/4 cup oil
2 Tbsp. white wine vinegar
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 dashes Tabasco sauce
1 Tbsp. parsley

Steps:

  • Chop Lettuces. In silver stone pan heap 3 Tbsp. sugar. Add 1 cup sliced almonds. Stir together until coated and sugar has carmelized then remove pan from heat .This only takes a few minutes, do not stop stirring or it will burn.Place almonds on aluminum foil to cool.
