- Heat butter and brown sugar in saucepan until the butter melts, stirring constantly. Pour in 9x13 baking dish. Arrange bread on top of butter/sugar mixture Combine eggs, cream, vanilla and spices in bowl. Pour over bread, soaking each slice. Chill covered for 8-12 hours Bake uncovered 350 for 30 min Remove from oven and flip the bread slices onto each serving plate.
