I pulled this recipe together for a vegan-friendly potluck. The ingredients just happened to be what was in my fridge that day, but could easily be substituted. It could also easily be doubled for a 9x13 pan.

I'm not sure why, but my cornbread always sticks to the pan. I've tried greasing the pan, using parchment paper, and even baking it in a silicone mold, but nothing seems to work.

This cornbread is a great way to use up leftover bacon grease. I always have a jar of it in the fridge, and it's perfect for adding flavor to cornbread, biscuits, and other baked goods.

I'm going to try making this cornbread in a muffin tin next time. I think it would be a fun and easy way to serve it at a party.

I think this cornbread would be even better if it were made with fresh corn kernels instead of canned corn.

This cornbread is a bit too sweet for my taste. I would reduce the amount of sugar next time.

I'm not a fan of bacon, so I omitted it from the recipe. The cornbread was still delicious, but I think it would have been even better with the bacon.

I'm allergic to dairy, so I substituted the butter and milk for vegan alternatives. The cornbread turned out just as delicious!

This cornbread is a great base for all sorts of variations. I've added diced jalapeños, chopped green onions, and even crumbled sausage to it before.

I'm not sure what went wrong with my cornbread. I followed the recipe exactly, but it turned out dry and bland.

This cornbread was a disappointment. It was dry and crumbly, and the bacon and cheese were barely noticeable.

I love this recipe! The cornbread is moist and flavorful, and the bacon and cheese add a nice touch of savory goodness.
