Lisa's Jean Bars image

I adopted this recipe from the Recipezaar account as I am always on the look out for make ahead desserts. This is the original introduction: "This is a recipe that has been a fave in our family. They got their name because they are so good that they are 'guaranteed to make your jeans fit tighter'. Cheesy saying, I know, but they are really good!(= Hope you enjoy them too!"

The bars were a bit dry. I think I would add an extra egg to the filling next time.

I found the bars to be a bit too sweet for my taste. I would reduce the amount of sugar next time.

I made these bars gluten-free by using a gluten-free flour blend. They turned out just as good as the original recipe.
