Yield Makes 2 servings

Number Of Ingredients 11

8 ounces linguine
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 tablespoon chopped red jalapeño chiles
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 tablespoon butter
12 uncooked large shrimp, peeled and deveined with tails intact
12 slender asparagus, trimmed, cut diagonally into 1 1/2-inch pieces
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 cups (packed) fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced, plus additional for garnish
2 lemon wedges

Steps:

  • Cook pasta in large pot of boiling salted water until just tender but still firm to bite, stirring occasionally.
  • Meanwhile, heat oil in heavy large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and jalapeño; sauté 1 minute. Add wine and butter; boil 2 minutes. Add shrimp, asparagus, and lemon juice. Toss until asparagus is just tender and shrimp are just opaque in center, about 3 minutes.
  • Drain pasta and add to skillet; add 2 cups sliced basil leaves and toss until basil wilts and sauce coats pasta, about 1 minute. Season with salt and pepper. Divide pasta between 2 plates. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and lemon wedges and serve.

This dish was a great way to use up some leftover shrimp and asparagus. I added a few extra vegetables, and it was a delicious and healthy meal.

This recipe was a bit bland for my taste. I think I would have liked it better if I had added some more garlic and red pepper flakes.

I'm not a fan of basil, but I really enjoyed this dish. The shrimp and asparagus were cooked perfectly, and the sauce was delicious. I will definitely be making this again, but I will omit the basil next time.

This dish was a little too spicy for my taste, but I think that's because I used too much red pepper flakes. Other than that, it was delicious! The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the asparagus was nice and tender.

This recipe was a little too complicated for me. I think I would have liked it better if it had fewer ingredients.

I followed the recipe exactly, but my shrimp turned out a little overcooked. I think I would cook them for a shorter amount of time next time.

This dish was a little too salty for my taste, but I think that's because I accidentally added too much salt. Other than that, it was delicious! The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the asparagus was nice and tender.
