This is so easy. I make it each year for my Christmas buffet and it is always one of the first dishes to disappear!

Time 35m

Yield 1 pot

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 (12 ounce) bottle chili sauce (I use Heinz)
1 cup grape jelly
1 -3 lb Little Smokies sausage (cocktail sausages)

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients.
  • Cook in crockpot for one hour or on stove top for 30 minutes.
  • (I personally like mine to cook slowly for a longer time until sauce thickens and is clinging to the sausages.).

This recipe is a great way to dress up lil' smokies. I love the addition of the brown sugar and ketchup. It gives the smokies a nice sweet and tangy flavor.

I'm not a big fan of lil' smokies, but I made this recipe for my kids and they loved them. I guess I'll have to make them again!

This recipe is a great way to use up leftover sausage. I always have some leftover sausage in my freezer, and this is a great way to use it up.

This recipe is a keeper! I've made it twice now and both times it was a hit. The smokies are juicy and flavorful, and the sauce is perfect.

I followed the recipe exactly and the smokies came out dry and overcooked. I'm not sure what went wrong.
