Light Seafood Pasta Alfredo image

8 ounces whole wheat pasta
1/2 cup light cream cheese
1/2 cup 2% low-fat milk
1 teaspoon basil
6 ounces raw shrimp
3 ounces smoked salmon
1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Cook pasta, and keep warm.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt light cream cheese with milk. Bring to simmer until thickens slightly.
  • Add basil. Add shrimp. Cover and cook until shrimp is starting to get a bit pink.
  • Dice or julienne smoked salmon. Add to mix. Warm through.
  • Add cooked pasta and stir in sauce.
  • Add parmesan cheese. Serve hot.
