Number Of Ingredients 10

BonBon Cookies:
1 cup butter
1/3 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup corn starch
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
Icing:
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon butter
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. BonBons: Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add corn starch and flour. Mix well. Chill until dough is easy to handle. Shape into 1" balls. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Icing: Mix ingredients together. Gently frost cooled cookies. Notes: use only butter. Oleo or margarine do not work. Make sure dough is chilled so the cookies bake better. Make sure the cookies are not over done (you can tell if they are overdone if they start getting a lot of cracks in them) If the are over-done, they will crumble as you start to frost. Work with the consistency of the frosting. You want it soft enough so that the cookie doesn't break when frosting, but not so soft that it drips down the side of the cookie.
