Kraft's Fantasy Fudge image

I worked for Kraft for 2 years. But for three Holiday Seasons. My first year a rep told me about the recipe on the back of Jet-Puff's Jar. Super easy so if you don't remember to bring the recipe to the store to buy all the ingredients you know exactly where to find it. Plus it is demanded on Christmas Eve!

Categories     Chocolate

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 c sugar
3/4 c butter, room temperature
5 oz evaporated milk
1 1/2 pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 jar(s) jet puff marshmallow creme (7 ounces)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 c chopped walnuts - optional

Steps:

  • 1. LINE 9-inch square pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides of pan; set aside. Place sugar, butter and evaporated milk in large heavy saucepan. Bring to full rolling boil on medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil 4 min. or until candy thermometer reaches 234°F, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Remove from heat.
  • 2. ADD chocolate and marshmallow creme; stir until completely melted. Add vanilla (you can add walnuts if you like your fudge with nuts); mix well.
  • 3. POUR immediately into prepared pan; spread to form even layer in pan. Let stand at room temperature 4 hours or until completely cooled; cut into 1-inch squares. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.

I'm not a huge fan of fudge, but this one is pretty good. It's not too sweet and the chocolate flavor is really rich.

This fudge is delicious, but it's a bit too rich for me. I think I'll cut the recipe in half next time.

I followed the recipe exactly, but my fudge turned out grainy. I'm not sure what went wrong.
