The Kir is an iconic French cocktail that tastes like a lightly sweetened white wine. The cassis liqueur adds a hint of fruity flavor to the typically drier wine and is refreshing when served chilled.

This Kir recipe was a disappointment. It was too sweet and the crème de cassis overpowered the white wine.

I followed the recipe exactly, but my Kir turned out too tart. I think I'll add a little more crème de cassis next time.

I'm not a big fan of sweet drinks, so I used less crème de cassis than the recipe called for. The Kir was still very good, but it had a less sweet flavor.

I'm not a big fan of crème de cassis, so I substituted it with blackcurrant syrup. The Kir still tasted delicious, but it had a slightly sweeter flavor.
