These johnnycakes were a bit too bland for my taste. I think I might have needed to add more salt or sugar. Next time, I'll adjust the recipe to my own liking.

I've never had johnnycakes before, but I'm so glad I tried this recipe. They were so good! I especially loved the crispy edges. I'll definitely be making these again.

These johnnycakes were delicious! I loved the combination of the cornmeal and the buttermilk. They were also really easy to make. I'll definitely be making these again.

I'm not sure what went wrong, but my johnnycakes turned out really dry. I followed the recipe exactly, but they just didn't have a lot of flavor. I'm not sure if I'll try this recipe again.

I was surprised at how easy these johnnycakes were to make. I'm not a very experienced cook, but I was able to follow the recipe easily and the cakes turned out great. I'll definitely be making these again.

These johnnycakes were a bit too dense for my taste. I think I might have overmixed the batter. Next time, I'll be sure to mix it just until the ingredients are combined.

I'm not a huge fan of johnnycakes, but these were actually really good! They were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the flavor was spot-on. I'll definitely be making these again.

I've been making johnnycakes for years, and this recipe is the best I've ever tried. The cakes are moist and flavorful, and they hold together perfectly. I love that I can make them ahead of time and freeze them - it's so convenient!

These johnnycakes were a hit at my breakfast table! They were light and fluffy, with a slightly sweet flavor. I served them with butter and maple syrup, and they were the perfect start to my day.
