Number Of Ingredients 6

2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
1 1/2 cups warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 1/3 cups all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast and brown sugar in the water, and let sit for 10 minutes. Stir the salt and oil into the yeast solution. Mix in 2 1/2 cups of the flour.
  • Turn dough out onto a clean, well floured surface, and knead in more flour until the dough is no longer sticky. Place the dough into a well oiled bowl, and cover with a cloth. Let the dough rise until double; this should take about 1 hour. Punch down the dough, and form a tight ball.
  • Allow the dough to relax for a minute before rolling out. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • If you are baking the dough on a pizza stone, you may place your toppings on the dough, and bake immediately. If you are baking your pizza in a pan, lightly oil the pan, and let the dough rise for 15 or 20 minutes before topping and baking it.

This pizza crust is a great way to use up leftover ingredients. I used some leftover cheese and pepperoni, and it turned out great.

This pizza crust is a great value. It's affordable and it makes a lot of dough. I was able to make 2 large pizzas with one batch of dough.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my pizza crust turned out really dry and crumbly. I'm not sure if I'll try this recipe again.

I found this pizza crust to be a little too crispy for my liking. I prefer a softer, chewier crust.

This pizza crust is a bit bland for my taste. I think it could use a little more salt or garlic.

I'm not a big fan of pizza crust, but this one is actually really good. It's crispy and flavorful, and it doesn't overpower the toppings.

This pizza crust is the perfect canvas for any toppings. I've tried it with everything from pepperoni and cheese to roasted vegetables and pesto, and it's always delicious.

I've tried many pizza crust recipes, but Jay's Signature Pizza Crust is by far the best. It's so easy to make and always turns out perfect. The crust is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, and it has the perfect amount of flavor.
