Jambalaya Rice Cooker image

this a recipe I found in a our local newspaper recipes. its very simple and fast.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 lb ground beef
one 10 oz can of beef broth
one 41/2 oz (with juice) mushrooms
1 medium chopped onion
1/2 medium chopped bell pepper
1/3 c raw rice
1/4 c water
salt to taste
pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Cook in rice cooker. When done stir in parsley and green onion tops. I put margarine and seasoning in first then meat and saute these a littele before adding other ingredients.
  • 2. Note:May use shrimp,crab,crawfish,sausage or chicken in place og ground meat.If these have been cooked please adjust salt accordingly.
