Jam and Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls image

This is a quick and easy way to add a little something special to breakfast or brunch. Strawberry or blackberry jam is excellent.

1 pkg crescent rolls
1/4 c fruit jam (your choice)
4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 c sugar
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp almond or vanilla extract
1 egg
1 tsp water

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 375° and set out cookie sheet. Line with parchment or silicone liner if desired.
  • 2. In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, lemon juice and extract until smooth and creamy. (You may use electric beaters or beat by hand.)
  • 3. Unroll each crescent roll. On the fattest part of the triangle place 1 tsp on cream cheese mixture and one tsp of jam. Roll up and place on cookie sheet.
  • 4. Whisk together egg and water for egg wash and brush over each crescent roll.
  • 5. Bake for 10-14 minutes until crescent rolls are golden brown and cooked through. Enjoy!
