Italian Sausage, Apples and Red Cabbage-Crockpot image

This is how the Italians roll for St. Patricks day! My son hates corn beef, what better way to change up a St. Patricks Day dinner. In this dish You have your sweet, savory, and tart! Very good and easy! Crockpot makes it easy for those get togethers. Serve with rolls for hoagies or serve with a side of potatoes.

This recipe was a bit too spicy for my taste. I think I would have preferred it with less pepper.

I'm not a big fan of cabbage, but I really enjoyed this dish. The apples and sausage helped to balance out the flavor of the cabbage.
