Number Of Ingredients 11

1 Tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground pork
1 small onion, chopped
2 clove garlic, minced
37 oz tomato sauce
6 oz tomato paste
3 dried red chili peppers, trimmed and chopped
3 bay leaves, dried
1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp oregano, dried

Steps:

  • 1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil. Add onion and meat stirring to crumble until juices run clear. Drain, if needed.
  • 2. Add remaining ingredients, reduce heat and simmer for at least 30 minutes (the longer, the better). Discard bay leaves.
