Irish Italian Spaghetti image

My mom has made this for over 30 years and the family still loves it! Easy and tasty! We eat it with salad and garlic bread. Not just your ordinary tomato sauce over noodles!

Time 1h10m

Yield 8-10 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 onions, chopped
2 lbs ground beef
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce (to taste, can get hot)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 dash crushed red pepper flakes
2 (10 1/2 ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup
2 (10 1/2 ounce) cans condensed tomato soup
15 ounces tomato paste
16 ounces of long spaghetti

Steps:

  • Brown beef and onion in skillet until meat is brown and onions are translucent.
  • Drain. ( I usually saute the onions in a separate skillet to keep more of the flavor).
  • Add soups and seasonings. Stir well, Cover and simmer about 45 minutes.
  • Cook spaghetti according to directions on box.
  • Rinse spaghetti.
  • Spoon sauce over spaghetti and enjoy!

Not bad, but not my favorite. The sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste. I think I'll try a different recipe next time.

The flavors in this dish were amazing! The sausage, peppers, and sauce all came together perfectly. I loved the addition of the shallots, which added a nice crispy texture. Will definitely be making this again!

So easy to make and so flavorful! I used ground turkey instead of sausage and it turned out great. The peppers and onions added a nice crunch and sweetness to the dish. Definitely a keeper!

Delicious! The sausage and peppers added a nice kick to the dish. The sauce was thick and flavorful, coating the spaghetti perfectly. Topped with grated Parmesan cheese for an extra touch of flavor.

Not a fan of the shallots. Otherwise, the dish was great. The spaghetti was cooked al dente and the sauce was full of flavor. Would make again without the shallots.

Easy to make and bursting with flavor. The sausage and peppers were cooked to perfection and the sauce was rich and flavorful. Served with a side of crusty bread to soak up all the delicious sauce. Yum!

This Italian-inspired spaghetti was a hit! The combination of flavors from the sausage, peppers, and sauce was divine. I especially loved the crispy shallots on top. Will definitely be making this again!
