Hot Popplers image

I modified a hush puppy type recipe that didn't have enough flavor, and this is what I got. They reminded me of Popplers from Futurama so, I named them such. =D

I followed the recipe exactly, but the poppers were too greasy. I think I'll use less bacon next time.

These were okay, but I've had better. The cream cheese filling was a bit bland.

The recipe was easy to follow, but the poppers didn't turn out as crispy as I hoped. I think I'll try frying them instead of baking them next time.

These were a bit too spicy for me, but my husband loved them. I'll try using milder jalapeƱos next time.
